Linnea Totten
Linnea Totten, ESL Instructor
Linnea Totten is a credentialed teacher with a Masters in Reading and a Bilingual Certificate of Competency. She began teaching in 1981 in Los Angeles, CA. In 1990 she moved to Northern California and began teaching in Anderson Valley. She has taught grades K-3 and has been the reading teacher for grades K-6. In 2019 she retired from full-time elementary school teaching. She volunteered at the AV Adult School working with Spanish Speakers developing literacy skills. During the pandemic she did private tutoring since volunteers could not work in the public schools. In 2022 Linnea began teaching English as a Second Language for Mendocino College at the AVAS. She enjoys teaching at all levels and is passionate about education. Therefore, she also fills her time serving on the AVUSD board, the Anderson Valley Education Foundation and still volunteers at the AV Elementary School.
